Daybreak is the busiest part of South Jordan for us, and it has its own rules. The HOA cares about where a dumpster sits and how long it's there. The driveway is always the safe bet, and most Daybreak driveways are short and front-loaded, so we set the bin tight to the garage, with boards under both rails when needed. The project mix in Daybreak is basement finishes, backyard builds on lots that were delivered as dirt, and paver patios, which means we see a lot of 7-yard dirt box orders alongside the 20-yard remodel bins. Tell us the lot type when you book and we'll bring the right one.
Older South Jordan, from Bangerter east to the river, is 1980s and 90s homes on bigger lots. The work there is roof replacements, kitchen and bath remodels, and cleanouts when a house changes hands. A single-layer roof tear-off on a two-story in Glenmoor or around The District fits in a 20-yard; if it's a two-layer roof, tell us and we'll plan a swap. Lots east of the freeway have room for street or side-yard placement, but the driveway still needs no permit and is usually faster.
Full bins are taken to a local landfill or recycling center and billed by the scale ticket. We can turn a South Jordan swap the same day when you call before noon. Contractors working the Daybreak commercial corridor and the new builds along 11800 South rely on that turnaround.
South Jordan has some of the highest water bills in the valley and a lot of homeowners are pulling turf. The 20-yard includes 2 tons; anything over is $55 per ton, billed from the landfill scale ticket. The 7-yard dirt and concrete box is a flat rate with no weight overage.
Hazardous materials (paint, fuel, chemicals, asbestos), tires, batteries, electronics, and medical waste. Dirt, concrete, brick and stone can't go in the 20-yard; they go in the 7-yard box. Mattresses and box springs: $20 each.
